 Architecture of Hamilton

Architecture of Hamilton:

I had lived in Hamilton for nearly 20 years and was aware of the beauty of it's architecture, but had never really taken the time to stop and take a closer look.  The weather, having finally turned in our favour, I grabbed my camera and did a little walkabout of the downtown area.  One just has to 'look up' to see what I mean.

For example, this is a shot of the court house on Main Street.  It is an example of modern architecture.

By contrast, this is a magnificent building on the corner of Main and James Street; the Landed Banking and Loan Co.  This building has been home to many businesses and if memory serves, this was once the home of the National Trust.
